Looking for after school activities that creative kids will love?
Bring them along to our ReMaker Centre and let them have fun turning unwanted textiles into funky new items that they can wear or use.
Each week, children can drop in to the centre to learn ReMaking skills such as:
- Hand sewing skills
- Embroidery techniques
- Screen printing techniques
- Dying techniques
Best of all, while we are there to teach the children ReMaking skills, we are also there to foster their creativity.
Over the course of the weeks, we will have some set activities aimed at teaching new skills. At other times, the children will spend time dreaming big and coming up with their own ideas, along with working on their problem solving skills.
Some weeks the children will create and finish their products in one session – such as turning tee shirts into necklaces or keyrings.
Other times, we will work on projects over a number of weeks. This might be turning a pre-loved garment into a piece of art they can wear.
Throughout it all, children will be given the opportunity experiment, learn, and absorb the message that textile waste can be re-made into something new, instead of being simply discarded.

Who We Are
Our team have a passion for fashion – and also for saving the planet from unwanted textile waste!
We have lived and breathed fashion all our working lives. But while we love fashion, we are also very aware of the impact fast fashion is having, and want to help find the balance that is needed. We are on a mission to not only bring more awareness to circular design and sustainability, but to show our community the fun you can have upcycling. Read more about our sustainable development goals.
